During site preparation for the removal of an in-line inspection tool, rv-28 was struck by sheet piling due to improper line marking by a contractor. At the time of the incident, it was unknown which line had been struck due to the number of operator and third-party lines in the crossing. Lines in the immediate vicinity of the release were shut down to verify integrity. On monday, 10/6, divers were able to locate the damaged piping and confirm ownership. At this time, all notifications were made to corresponding agencies and operators. At this time the line is down, and repairs are being made.
