Narrative
On 8/30/2025 at 08:45, houston control center received a gas alarm at the southern pines station located in north carolina. The station pumps were not running and isolated at the time of the release. A pipeline technician was dispatched to investigate the alarm and determined that an inboard seal failed on unit number two. The station piping was isolated at the pump with no offsite impact from this release. Pump seal repairs were made, and pump was returned to service. The pump seal investigation determined that the seal had experienced general degradation at the inboard seal face. Part c question 4a and question 5 information have been updated.
