Narrative
A release of gasoline/diesel occurred at zachary product station between the evening of august 25th and morning of august 26th, 2025. The event was first identified when a technician responded to a gas detector alarm around 2:45 am. Upon arrival at 3:45am, the technician observed product coming from a 1/2-inch ball valve located at the 12 o�clock position of the scraper trap. The technician immediately closed the valve. Appropriate notifications were made to agencies and site remediation efforts have concluded. The investigation determined that the 1/2-inch valve was inadvertently left open after completing maintenance activities on august 25th.
