Narrative
At approximately 10:00 am a local operator attempted to start a tank mixer. The tank mixer failed to start, and operations began to investigate. The operator discovered the tank mixer bearing housing had failed causing a release. Local operations placed drip pans to collect any product that may continue to reach the ground. A vacuum truck was called to help with cleanup efforts and pump out enough product to a level where local technicians could lock in the tank mixer and stop the damaged seal from leaking any further. Technicians removed the leaking seal and replaced it with a new seal along with a new motor and gear box housing. The tank was then placed back into service.
