Narrative
At approximately 8:15 a.M., a contractor crew was performing sandblasting activities during a rehabilitation dig on the baggs to wamsutter 10" crude pipeline to prepare the pipe surface for non-destructive examination (nde). During the blasting process, the blast media compromised the pipe wall near the six o'clock position at a girth weld, resulting in a crude oil release into the trench. The pipe began to seep during the sandblasting activity. Repair was made with a plidco. Tool run technology note (for part f): the most recent and previous axial magnetic flux leakage (mfl) tool runs were attuned to detect both metal loss and girth weld anomalies. Part j does not provide a field to indicate multi-anomaly detection.
