Narrative
On 8/12/2025 at 11:25 cst pipeline operator discovered a crude oil leak originating from an aboveground 12� pig trap kicker line releasing approximately 2 barrels of crude oil. The texas city tank farm facility was immediately isolated. Automated ultrasonic testing (aut) scans conducted and confirmed the leak was caused by internal corrosion. A 12� plidco clamp was installed to contain the leak, and line was placed back into normal operations on 8/12/2025. All released crude was remediated from the affected area.
