On 08/14/2025 at approximately 07:40, a crude oil leak was discovered at cushing south terminal near the 16-inch plains delivery line. The line was immediately shutdown and the leak was isolated. The area was excavated and crude oil was confirmed to be coming from a pinhole on the 16-inch plains delivery line. Approximately 10 barrels of crude oil was released. Cleanup contractors removed product and contaminated soil. The leak was repaired with a plidco mechanical clamp. On 08/15/25, the line was blinded and removed from service. The segment of the leak location has been cut out and awaiting third party analysis. The cause of the leak is still under investigation. A supplemental report will be submitted once the lab report and investigation are completed.
