Narrative
On 08/12/2025 at approximately 13:30, a pipeline tech noticed a crude oil release during monthly tank line flushing. The area was excavated and the leak was determined to be coming from the 14-inch line associated with tank 1001. The line was shutdown to stop the leak. Approximately 1 barrel of crude oil was released. A hydro-vac removed free product and contaminated soil was removed for remediation. At approximately 18:45, the line was repaired with a mechanical clamp. The line was scanned and returned to service on 08/20/25 at 09:28. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. A supplemental report will be submitted once complete.
