Narrative
At 07:27 on 8/12/25 a possible leak was identified, and investigation began. Operations discovered a leaking pipe nipple between a tank receive line and the upstream isolation ball valve for a psv. Upon discovery the outboard receive valve was closed, isolating the section of pipe with the leaking fitting. A vacuum trailer was utilized to remove pressure and product from the pipe section stopping the release. Impacted gravel and soil was hand dug and placed into roll offs and disposed of accordingly. Once isolated and removed the leaking nipple was determined to have developed a crack in the threaded portion of the nipple between the weld-o-let on tank 2703's receive piping and the upstream isolation valve for psv 2703a. Both the nipple and the valve were removed and replaced. The cause for the cracked nipple is still under investigation. A supplemental will be submitted once results have been reviewed and a cause has been determined.
