Narrative
On september 3, 2025, explorer scada detected a vapor monitor alarm at 01:15. The pipeline was shut down and the station was isolated from the mainline pipeline. The appropriate notifications were made, and area personnel responded and identified a stainless still fitting associated with a pump seal flush system was cracked and had leaked. The release was totally contained on the property. Due to the location of the release around the pump and manifold, manual labor was necessary to excavate and remove equipment to access the impacted soil. Once it was confirmed the cost would exceed $50,000 on september 6, 2025, the national response center was notified. Explorer is working with the manufacturer of the fitting to determine the roof cause.
