Narrative
Operators were refilling the line 01 delivery prover during an active delivery. After several minutes of filling nearing completion, the operators noticed product dripping from the top of the prover. The prover was promptly bypassed and the prover drains were opened. Upon inspection, the product source was determined to be the prover ram shaft seal failure. Local personnel responded and a total of 6.6 gallons of gasoline was released. The seal was repaired and all product was cleaned up the same day. All necessary internal and external notifications were made. An incident analysis (ia) will be conducted on this event.
