Approximately 179 barrels of crude oil were released from the orion to stockholm 8inch pipeline. The date and time of the release (part a q4) are indicative of the earliest possible time the release could have started based on control center information. Following observation of a potential shortage on the line by the control center (part a q4), plains personnel immediately took action to determine whether a release had occurred. Following a pressure test, plains identified that there may be a release (part a q13) and later confirmed discovery of the release (part a q20). A supplemental report will be submitted pending further investigation into the cause of the internal corrosion and associated preventative measure.
