On 7/20/25 during a maintenance activity at the double h (opid 39440) baker pump station, km employees discovered the sump overflowing as a result of a valve mis-alignment during a refill process from portable/frac storage tanks. As a result, approximately 5.3 barrels of crude oil were released onto the ground. Operations responders were onsite, the release was immediately secured, and all relevant agencies were notified. The product was contained within the kinder morgan facility. A spill calculator method was utilized to calculate the release amount. Remediation is ongoing.
