On july 16, 2025, a contractor, hired by colonial, observed product being released from a 3-inch injection pipe at the line 01 strainer in an area exposed by prior excavation. The 3-inch injection pipe was cut out and blind flanges were put into place at the injection valve and at the strainer. Internal corrosion was identified as the cause of the release.
