At 5:30 on 6/27/25, a oneok employee entered the sandhill facility and discovered a leaking pipe nipple located on the pump bypass valve. The employee immediately called the control room to inform them of the leak and the control room shut down the facility. The employee then notified local management at 5:35. Management deployed additional personnel to respond. Employees arrived to assess the leak and confirmed the source to be the pipe nipple located on the pump bypass valve. The valve was isolated to stop the leak and begin repairs. The nipple was replaced with a new extra heavy wall nipple. Once repairs were made, the facility was brought back in service at 6:55. To prevent reoccurrence in the future, operations located all nipples in the facility and replaced them with extra heavy wall nipples.
