On 6/17/2025 at 4:00 pm cst enterprise pipeline operator discovered a crude oil release on relief pipeline at texas city station. The leak was immediately isolated. Approximately 2 barrels of crude oil was released. Upon further investigation, it was determined that internal corrosion from microbiological growth caused the crude oil release. The relief line has been removed from service.
