Narrative
On 5/27/2025 at 1:35 pm cst enterprise pipeline operator discovered a crude release on relief pipeline at houston ship channel. The leak was immediately isolated. Approximately 1 barrel of crude oil was released. All remediation has been completed. Upon further investigation, it was determined that internal corrosion from microbiological growth caused the crude oil release. This line has been disconnected, cleaned, purged, and removed from the facility.
