On may 19, 2025, during a routine inspection of the gaffney station facility, a colonial employee observed gasoline in an access well near the line 01 unit 01 suction valve. Further assessment confirmed product was being released from the valve. The product was contained to the immediate location of the unit. The valve was repaired and returned to service. Following investigation, packing failure was determined to be the apparent cause of the release.
