During normal operations, as a trap skid was made ready into receiver mode, a kicker valve was found to be leaking a small amount of oil. The spill was immediately contained. Valve contractor, lobo, was contacted and the following day they greased the o-ring to stop the leak. It was determined that replacing the valve was the best long term option. The valve was replaced with like and kind. This event occurred on a western midstream subsidiary pipeline owned by dbm oil services llc
