Narrative
On 10-25-2025 at 09:00 cst, the garden city compressor station emergency shutdown was initiated for pigging activities. Approximately 10:30, a contractor working for enterprise identified a very small natural gas leaking near the 24-inch station bypass valve. After an extensive search for the potential gas leak by enterprise, at 12:40, the gas leak location was confirmed by enterprise to be emanating from a flange gasket on the discharge side of the garden city station bypass valve. At 13:30, it was determined that the estimated repair cost would exceed $149,700. At 13:42, the incident was reported to the nrc and trrc. On 10-29-2025 at 10:00, the gas leak at garden city was isolated and a small section of pipeline was blown down. The bypass valve gasket was replaced. On 11-3-2025 at 16:15, the garden city bypass station valve was placed into service.
