A kinder morgan employee was preparing a trap to load an eight-inch cleaning pig on the kinderhawk pipeline adjacent to the whitney corp 19-30-13 bpx (customer) well location in sabine parish, la. During the process of loading the pig into the launcher, the closure door failed, resulting in a serious injury that required hospitalization. A second employee was also evaluated for potential injuries but was released the same day. An investigation is underway and results from the operator's internal investigation will be included in a supplemental report.
