On october 15th, 2025, there was a gas release of 3,981 mcf at kinder morgan tejas compressor station 2. A kinder morgan employee reported the incident, and the line was shut down. It was determined that an o-ring on the valve system was missing on discharge line side and continuously vented out of the block. Kinder morgan employees replaced the o-rings on the valves on both the suction and discharge sides. The compressor station is now running at normal conditions.
