Narrative
During a yard check, a houston operator identified a gasoline release originating from the peeco flow switch on the line 01 pasadena incoming relief system at houston station. The line was shut down, relief switch was isolated, and response personnel were activated. The peeco paddle switch located upstream of the relief valves was removed, plugged, and technicians cut over to a magnatrol thermal dispersion switch located downstream of the relief valves (moc-2025-224). The line was restarted 08:11 plt while environmental remediation of the impacted area continued. Nrc report was made at 05:54 after discovery that response costs would exceed $50,000 at 05:12.
