Narrative
On 04/13/25 at approximately 08:00, the energy transfer control center received a call from a landowner stating oil was observed on the row near the vlc-3 naples to bradley 8-inch line. The pipeline was shut down and secured. Pipeline technicians were dispatched to confirm the pipeline release. Once the pipe was exposed, the leak was confirmed to be coming from a pinhole on the bottom of the vlc-3 naples to bradley 8-inch line. Approximately 5 barrels of crude oil was released. Contractors cleaned up released product and contaminated soil. A clamp was installed to prevent any further release. The accident is still under investigation. A supplemental report will be submitted once the root cause failure analysis is completed.
