On april 13, 2025, at 8:00 am cdt, during the use of frac tanks at midland tank farm, an enterprise station operator observed a frac tank overflowing into the secondary containment. The operator isolated the flow and remediated the release. The cause was identified as an error in monitoring the frac tank levels. Post investigation it was also determined that the transfer lines didn't properly equalize the used frac tank levels causing the unequal product distribution. To prevent future incidents, additional station operators will monitor frac tank filling during similar operations to ensure accurate tracking, and proper transfer lines will be used.
