On april 14, 2025, a colonial employee detected a product release from the ring wall of tank 812 at the greensboro junction facility. In response, local operations transferred the remaining product to other tanks within the facility. The affected tank was subsequently removed from service, and a work plan was initiated to facilitate cleaning the tank in preparation for entry and investigation into the cause of the release. Update: the source of the leak has been located in a bottom plate and appears to be corrosion related.
