Narrative
On 9-19-2025, a third party contractor was testing a relief valve at an enterprise compressor station. During the test, there was a failure, natural gas was released and some liquid product sprayed out across highway 285. At 11:59 am cst, an enterprise technician notified enterprise and called 911 to report the gas release to local emergency responders. At 12:12 pm, enterprise shut of gas flow to the pipeline. At 12:40 pm, enterprise isolated the relief valve. At 12:45 pm, enterprise determined that this event was an incident due to gas loss. The nrc and trrc was notified by enterprise of the incident. At 3:50 pm, an enterprise contractor started the cleaning of highway 285. At 8:30 pm, the contractor completed the cleanup and and highway 285 was opened by txdot in both directions. The pipeline was placed back into service on 9-19-2025.The relief valve is isolated and enterprise is investigating the incident.
