April 8, at approximately 07:42 am central time, the control center received a leak detection alarm indicating a release and immediately began the isolation process. As well, local technicians were near the release location starting maintenance work and confirmed loss of containment. The local technicians also activated an emergency shutdown and notified the control center. Additional notifications were immediately made to company, local, and federal emergency responders.
