During routine operator rounds, a company employee noticed product inside secondary containment. At this time, the relief line was isolated, and product flow was directed to another tank. The employee began initiating emergency response activities and all internal/external notifications. All product was contained inside secondary containment on operator property. The line was not active at the time of the release. After investigation, it was confirmed the release was due to a pinhole on the underground portion of the relief line due to internal corrosion. The line was taken out of service at this time, with no plans to continue its use.
