Narrative
On april 1, an isolation gasket failed while commissioning a new meter at benedum station. Benedum station was down at the time of release due to the commissioning and controls work. Piping section was immediately isolated and subsequently de-pressured. Reportable criteria were determined to have been met at 14:35 on april 2nd after volume calculations were completed. The released commodity was a nitrogen/ngl mixture that was predominately nitrogen. The failed gasket was installed during construction and is to be replaced. Supplemental update: internal investigation revealed that the design did not identify the need for support of the valve in the the interim period until the future connection would be made. The valve has been reinstalled with appropriate support.
