During routine pigging operation flange between block valve and barrel began leaking. Steps taken to isolate leak immediately. Leaking gas ignited with no injuries and was allowed to burn out. Investigation determined that construction contractor installed incorrect gasket. Remainder of pipeline checked for correct gaskets.
