On thursday, july 24, 2025, at approximately 11:05 mst, an ignition took place following an uncontrolled gas release on a 3-inch gas transmission line during work to rebuild a regulator station located in johnstown, co. The gas release was caused by the failure of stopple equipment and was followed by an ignition. A material investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the stopple failure.
