Narrative
At approximately 11:15 a.M. On 7/23/25, a leak was reported along line 5 section 4 in an area being excavated for an ili reassessment interval dig. Gas initially was present and recorded with a combustible gas indicator (cgi). Stopples were welded on and a by-pass was utilized to maintain flow along the pipeline. A 65 foot section of pipeline was removed and replaced with tested pipe. The cut out section contained the assumed location of the leak, the anomaly that was to be assessed, as well as a previously repaired anomaly. The cutout section was non destructively examined, but no leaks were found; therefore, an estimate of gas released could not be determined.
