Narrative
Anomaly was detected during an emat tool run, which was investigated. No indications of a leak were immediately present. Gas was detected intermittently from a crack like defect in the long seam only after coating removal. The segment was already isolated due to the anomaly digs. The segment was drawn down via customers and recompression with the remaining volume being vented to atmosphere. Pipe segment was cutout and sent for analysis. The segment has since been replaced and the line has been placed back into service. Supplemental report will be provided once the metallurgical analysis is completed.
