On june 18, 2025, natural gas was vented to the atmosphere through the blowdown stacks at tennessee gas pipeline�s (tgp) compressor station 856 in savannah, tennessee. The station�s emergency shutdown (esd) system was activated, resulting in the closure of the discharge-side isolation valve. Tgp is conducting an internal investigation, including a root cause analysis (rca), to determine the cause of the discharge valve malfunction. Additional details will be provided upon completion of the investigation in a supplemental final report.
