Saturday may 17th @3:16pm: pipeline control (plc) received a call from the sour lake, tx fire department indicating they had responded to the venting call and was currently onsite outside our compressor station and verified it was venting gas. Plc notified the operations on-call technician at 3:18pm and passed on information. Plc also notified the operations on-call ops tech that they would begin dropping units to try and isolate the issue and stop the venting. @~3:26pm the fire chief indicated that the venting had stopped, he had no further concerns, and left the location. @3:41pm: the on-call arrived at the location and made his rounds, reviewed the facility data, and determined that unit #5 was the issue, so he made the unit unavailable and locked it out for further investigation. Monday, may 19th @~8:30am: the facility operator and engineer went to investigate the psv and found that the tubing leading to the psv pilot had a blown-out connection. Bench-tested the psv to ensure the proper set point. (no issues found) tuesday, may 20th @~9:00am: mu5 was placed back in service at station 40 with no issues.
