Narrative
On 05/03/2025 at approximately 09:19 a texas gas operations technician received a report from a property owner near the hanson compressor station of a potential natural gas release from a well. At approximately 09:36 gas control notified the operations technician, who was enroute to the location, that they had received a call from another property owner. At approximately 09:39 the operations technician arrived on site at the same time as emergency responders. Texas gas operations confirmed the release and isolated the pipeline. Barriers and temporary fencing were placed around the incident site. Emergency response officials coordinated with the state for cleanup. Texas gas has replaced the pipe involved in the incident but is now performing opportunistic work including smart pigging and potential additional pipe replacements. A supplemental report will be submitted once the pipeline is returned to service. The response to question c3, pipe body, is not definitive until lab analysis is complete.
