Narrative
Enbridge gas utah responded when a vehicle hit a1 1/4� riser located approximately 45 feet from the street causing a release of gas, fire, and an eventual explosion. The riser was fed by a 6-inch main. Due to the service line tap�s proximity to the fire, it could not be accessed and the 6-inch main had to be squeezed off in two locations to shut off the flow of natural gas. Three individuals were transported to hospital as a result of the vehicle accident consisting of two vehicle occupants and one bystander who tried to assist the vehicle occupants. Note: in reference to section a, 22 "number of general public evacuated", any evacuations were conducted by the fire department prior to eguwi's arrival and actual number is not known.
