On june 5, 2025, at approximately 3:18 p.M., atmos energy received a call reporting a damage to our facilities at 174 cypress street, abilene, texas. The 10-inch low pressure main was dented several times and punctured in one location causing a release of gas. This area was accurately marked by atmos energy�s locator contractor on may 30, 2025 in response to a locate ticket received on may 28, 2025. The third-party contractor was removing trees along the city sidewalk, with mechanized equipment, and failed to maintain clearance of the marked lines. The release was secured at 3:13 a.M. On june 6, 2025. Confirmed discovery of this event occurred on june 25, 2025, at 2:55 p.M., when the estimate to replace the damaged segments of main was prepared. Note that the number in a22 reflects the number of businesses that were evacuated. The number of individuals who exited those businesses is unknown.
