Narrative
On march 6, 2025, at approximately 14:15, rp construction struck a 4-inch plastic gas main using a directional drill at the intersection of centreville road and skyhawk drive in chantilly, va. Washington gas was promptly notified of the incident at 14:17 via fireboard. The impact resulted in a punctured plastic main, causing a gas leak. Washington gas personnel arrived on-site at 15:13 and successfully stopped the gas flow at 19:29 by squeeze, which led to an outage affecting 28 customers. Service was restored to all impacted customers.
