On 2/24/24, summit natural gas of missouri was notified that a third-party contractor struck one of its gas service lines with a concrete saw while attempting to install a fiber line at 263 shepherd of the hills pkwy in branson, mo. Summit had previously responded to a locate call made by this contractor, accurately locating and clearly marking its facilities. The damage to summit facilities caused by the third-party contractor ultimately led to an explosion in the structure, causing significant property damage. Summit responded, squeezed and capped the service line leading to the property. ***part e6 odorant read was measured at .08% lel; this PHMSA form automatically rounds up to 1 so due to this form error currently answering this question as not measured***
