Narrative
A third-party excavator was performing land grading work and damaged the company's 4-inch steel main. A repair of the damage was made by welding two, 4-inch short stops and isolating the section of main to replace 7-feet of 4-inch steel main. The company's facilities were not located as the third-party excavator failed to request locates prior to excavation. The original depth of cover is unknown; however, the company asserts that it was greater than 15-inches and at an appropriate depth prior to land grading. At the time the incident was discovered, a significant amount of soil had been graded and accumulated. A 48-hour update to the nrc was made on february 6, 2025, at 2:04 pm - report number 1422888
