On 10/28/24 @ approximately 08:45 cst, gasoline was discovered near the ln01 injection check valve. The gasoline injection system was not in use at the time of discovery. Spill response personnel were mobilized, arrived on-site, and began exploration excavation at approximately 12:00 cst. At 16:20 cst initial cleanup was completed, and all released gasoline (20.5 gallons) was recovered. Once fully excavated, the source of the release was determined to be a check valve shaft seal failure (o-ring). The check valve was repaired and returned to normal service on 10/29/24 @ 00:45 cst. All released product was contained on cpc property. Proper internal notifications were made. La state police (spoc) was notified at 15:52 cst.
