Narrative
During operator rounds, an operator identified a leak underneath a 24-inch crude line within the facility. The line is facility piping and was not active at the time of the incident and all isolation valves were blocked. At this time the operator made all internal notifications and activated the response plan. Cleanup and soil remediation was completed on 9/28/24. The release was due to corrosion on the pipe. Cutout and repair was completed on 10/4/24 and line was returned to service. Facility operations were not affected during this timeframe.
