Narrative
On 08/06/2024 at approximately 07:00 edst an enterprise technician at seymour terminal was performing maintenance when he found a leak off a 2" low-point drain line. In response, the line was isolated and drained. At 15:13 edst it was determined that remediation would exceed $50,000.00, and notification was made to the nrc. Approximately 6.4 barrels of isobutane and diluent transmix was released. All released material has been cleaned up and remediation was completed 8/28. Upon investigation it was determined that the drain line had leaked due to external corrosion. The drain line piping was replaced and has been returned to service.
