Narrative
On 7/13/2024 at 18:00, a leak of diesel fuel was discovered at lima station on the 13212 lima-columbus north-sl10 10-inch line. Station was shutdown while investigation into source of the leak was completed. After excavation the leak was determined to have been coming from an unknown 2-inch thread-o-let and valve associated with small diameter piping. The leak was controlled and repaired by removing the valve and plugging this connection. Approximately 13 barrels of diesel was released. Released product was cleaned up and impacted soil remediated. To prevent reoccurrence, operations identified and verified the status of other 2-inch valves within lima station.
