Narrative
On 7/1/2024 at 19:03, a third party notified the enterprise pipeline control center of a possible product release at tw chaparral ackerly pump station. The pipeline was shut down at 19:08. When enterprise personnel arrived on site, they determined that the unit 1 seal flush system tubing had broken at a ferrule fitting, resulting in release of approximately 18 bbls of natural gasoline. Unit 1 was removed from service for repairs, and the pipeline was restarted at 21:30. A vibration analysis was subsequently performed at ackerly and intermittent periods of high vibration were observed. Enterprise reliability personnel are installing vibration transmitters at tw chaparral pump stations that will enable monitoring and analysis of vibration data and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions as needed.
