Narrative
Personnel landed at hia 582 platform for a routine visit and noticed gas bubbles in the water about 1/2 mile from the platform. The leak was suspected to be coming from the hios 30" pipeline segment 7869. The pipeline was isolated and the pressure on the pipeline started to drop, verifying the leak was from that segment. The nrc was notified (report # 1416543) no sheen or impact to personnel. The segment remains isolated until repairs can be made. At the time of this submittal, a dive barge has not been able to visit the sub-sea site of the pipeline. The pipeline segment remains depressurized and shut in. A dive barge is scheduled to visit on dec. 20, 2024 if weather permits.
