Narrative
Tgp station 87 relief valve actuation resulting in a PHMSA reportable quantity of 18,390 mcf. On 10/22/2024, at approximately 7:28 pm cst, line 500 - 1x3 crossover valve prematurely closed. When the valve actuated, running engines caused elevated pressure on line 100-3 in the station yard. Units 7c and 8c shut down due to high discharge pressure seen on the unit pressure switches. To protect the system maop, the relief valve on 100-3 in the station yard also began to vent. The relief valve vented and re-set itself multiple times until it failed open due to the internal seat becoming dislodged. Line 100-3 has been isolated in the yard. Investigation underway. Supplemental report will be submitted with findings. No injuries, no oil mist released, no emergency response or road closures.
