Narrative
On 4/9/25 at approximately 08:25, a crude release was discovered on the 24-inch corsicana tank farm fill system. Piping was above grade and a mechanical clamp was installed to control and stop the leak. Approximately 30 barrels of crude oil was released onto the soil. An osro was mobilized to clean-up, recover product and remediate contaminated soil. An investigation determined the cause of the release was due to internal corrosion. The failed dead-leg was cutout and the internal corrosion control program for the facility is being reviewed and changes will be implemented prevent reoccurrence.
