Narrative
On 8/31/2024, gulf south operations personnel discovered a potential leak while in the bistineau under-ground natural gas storage field. The well designated b-10 was shut in along with block valves on the opposite end of the line segment. The pipeline was depressurized and will remain out of service until repairs are completed. A supplemental report will be submitted once repairs have been made. 1/29/2025 updated to submit final report. Repair was made by pipe replacement and the pipeline was returned to service on 11/16/24. Additionally, PHMSA asked if scada showed a pressure drop or leak indication; it did not because the leak was only a pinhole leak. 3/7/2025 updated per PHMSA request to change the response for question a14 (part of system involved in incident) from "belowground storage, including associated equipment and piping" to "onshore pipeline, including valve sites," and provide response to additional questions resulting from the change.
